Read more about the LINES Team
Our team is made up of a diverse group of 19 -28 year old writers and performers from all over the UK.
Arabella Warren is a young playwright who was shortlisted in the National Theatre Young Playwright competition 2016. Her latest play, 'LINES' is a compelling, heart wrenching and yet uplifting account of a young woman who discovers that friends are not always what they seem. It opens up a much needed discourse about the increase in incidence and intensity of sexual aggression between young people, in educational and social settings.
Following the #metoo campaign we felt that young peoples' sexual harassment issues weren't being properly represented, especially those in schools and universities.
LINES provides an insight into the lives of these young adults and is performed, directed and written by individuals who have experienced at first hand the societal pressures that promote the blurring of the line between consent and assault.
Having successfully debuted our production of ‘LINES’ at the Edinburgh fringe festival this summer (2018) , we hope that the play will be performed in educational settings and theatres across the country in order to help define what consent really is. We believe it is incredibly important to show young people, when they are most sexually vulnerable, that there are lines that no one should cross and to encourage them to recognise and be assertive against, sexual aggression.
